Throughout 2009 we have commemorated the 250th anniversary of the passing of the magnificent composer George Frederick Handel with performances of Messiah and other selected works. Performances have taken place in Dublin (where Messiah was first performed in 1742) at venues including the Helix Concert Hall and Christchurch Cathedral. Massed performances also took place in England at the Sheldonian Theatre Oxford, Wells Cathedral, Southwark Cathedral, Ely Cathedral and St Albans Cathedral.

The Cabrillo Symphonic Chorus perform Handel’s Messiah Highlights at St Mary’s Cathedral Killarney during their June 2009 tour to Ireland including performing as part of the main Simon Carrington lead Messiah festival in Dublin.

Simon Carrington leads a concert of over 100 voices at Christchurch Cathedral Dublin performing Handel’s Messiah commemorating the 250th anniversary of Handel’s passing.

For bands and orchestras we have excellent concert opportunities in London performing Holst’s Suite No 1 and also the opportunity to perform a specially commissioned piece by the renowned composer Philip Sparke in our “Premiering London Festival”

Unique Methodist and Presbyterian tours to England & Scotland are also planned with a combined mass performance scheduled in St Giles Cathedral Edinburgh. Looking ahead to 2010 plans are already in motion for a spectacular “Music of the Movies” event in England.
